Sherman & Howard is a full-service law firm that was founded in 1892 by Edward Sherman and Ben Harrison Howard in Denver, Colorado. The firm has since grown to become one of the largest and most respected law firms in the western United States, with offices in Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and Missouri. Edward Sherman was a prominent attorney and civic leader in Denver during the late 19th century. He was a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School and had served as a judge in Colorado before co-founding the firm with Ben Harrison Howard. Howard, meanwhile, was a former Colorado state senator and district attorney who had previously practiced law in Denver. Today, Sherman & Howard is known for its expertise in a wide range of practice areas, including corporate law, commercial litigation, employment law, real estate, and environmental law.
